Projects

GalaxyUI
Immersive navigation UI for VR, where you can control a galaxy at will.
Become a space wizard that travels to different stars instead of tapping on an application.
Created as a group of two. Available on Github.

BioTrayTable
New biomimetic concept for a tray table inspired by the bee abdomen and glass sponge.
New Hinge concept and internal structure make it low weight and 3D-printable.
Developed together with an industry partner.

LeeCoLi
Leech cocoon-inspired lightweighting structure applicable to any 3D-model.
Gradient material and Voronoi-lattice keep it strong despite its low weight.
Solo project for my diploma (publication in review).

InterHedron
Self-assembling interlocking dodecahedron inspired by the wing-hinge of stink bugs.
With its interlocking mechanism, the shapes make stable structures just by shaking them around.
Solo project for scientific publication.
About Me
To me, biomimetics means recog- nizing that all life around is is not magic, but fascinating technology.
Since the dawn of history, artists have been inspired by the vastness and beauty of nature.
There is so much similarity between the inspiration from nature from the perspective of an artist an engineer.
My goal is to utilize both approaches to bio-inspiration and create designs that, like nature, are both innovative and infatuating.
Born as the son of two medical doctors in Salzburg, I was gifted many opportunities. After a year abroad in Japan and finishing school, I grew ambitions to become an academic.
Being fascinated by biomimetics from an early age lead me to get my bachelor's in the field in 2026. Now I want to learn the art of designing products.
